What is a disputed payment?
A dispute (also known as a chargeback) occurs when a cardholder/customer questions a payment on their credit card statement. The card issuer then creates a formal dispute which immediately reverses the payment. Disputes are a feature of the Visa, Mastercard and American Express card networks intended to protect cardholders from fraudulent activity.
Should you receive a dispute, the payment amount, along with a separate $15 dispute fee, levied by the card network, will be deducted from your account balance.
