Can I make a payment on my own collection?

If you are the organizer (or account owner) of a collection, you might notice that when you go to make a payment, you're "Pay Now" button is grayed out. This is by design. As the collector of a collection, you are not able to make a payment on that collection while you are logged in. But have no fear, there are several ways to work around this. Here are three options:

Start by copying your collection URL and then do one of three things:

1) Open another browser type, paste in the URL and make a payment.

If you are working in Chrome, for example, where you're logged into your Cheddar Up account, just pop open another browser type (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.) and make a payment there. When you proceed to checkout, make sure you select "guest checkout" versus signing in.

2) Open a private/incognito browser, paste in the URL and make a payment.

A private or incognito browser, allows you to stay within the same browser type in which you are working, but it has no history of your previous activity (thus, it will not detect that you are already logged into Cheddar Up in your other (non-private) browser window). When you make a payment and proceed to checkout, make sure you select "guest checkout" versus signing in.

3) Log out of your Cheddar Up account, then paste the URL into your browser and make a payment as a guest (selecting "guest checkout" versus signing in) when making a payment.

The first view below shows you how to log out. The second view shows you how to select "guest checkout" during the checkout process.

As you can see, the key is to simply not be logged in as the collector when making a payment on one of your collection pages; and there are a number of ways to do this.
