View your waitlist reporting

Organizers can access their item waitlists from the Manage view of each collection. Here, we’ll show you how to see your waitlist reporting.

Access your waitlist reporting

Need to access your item waitlists? Take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Manage step of your collection.
  2. Click the “Items” tab. Here you’ll see an at-a-glance view of how many have purchased your items and how many are on your waitlists for items.
  3. To the right of each item, click the three-dot icon, which will reveal a menu. Click “View Waitlist”.
  4. This will reveal a Waitlist modal where you can view the individuals on your waitlist (including the date and time they were added) as well as the ability to export a spreadsheet of those on your waitlist.

Message people on your waitlist

If more items become available and you're ready to notify someone on your waitlist, you can send them a message via your own communication channels, or you can also send a message from your Waitlist reporting modal by taking the following steps:

  1. Select the checkbox to the left of the individual on your waitlist who you want to notify.
  2. Once selected, a "Send Message" button will be revealed.
  3. Click the "Send Message" button, which will take you to the Cheddar Up Message Center, where you can send a message notifying the selected individuals that they should return to your collection and make a purchase.

Pro Tips

When an item has more availability and you're ready to pull people off the waitlist, it's up to the organizer to determine the best way to offer the item to people on the waitlist. Here are a few options to consider:

  • Offer items on the existing collection: If you are not concerned about other people potentially scooping up a newly available item, this is a great option. You simply need to update the item quantity available on your existing collection and then reshare the link with those coming off the waitlist so they can make their purchase. Bonus: It keeps your reporting streamlined.

  • Offer items on the existing collection with an access code: This option also involves using your existing collection, as well as updating the item quantity available and adding a code to access the page. This helps ensure that only those coming off the waitlist can access your page (and items), so it works best if all previous activity on your collection page has ended. Similar to the option above, this also keeps your reporting streamlined.

  • Create a new collection with waitlisted items: In this option, you will create an entirely new collection with your waitlisted items to share with the people coming off your waitlist to make their purchase. This is a great option if your original collection is still actively collecting payments. The concession with this option is that you will have reporting in two different places for a single item.
